Europe Becomes A Primary Attraction for Students to Pursue Higher Studies!

Foreign Universities, Pursuing Higher Studies, Study in Europe
24 May 2011

For an average 18-year-old student, foreign university is a first taste of the challenges of living away from home and the thoughts may be somewhat daunting. But the excellent transport links, affordable tuition fees and plenty of English-taught courses makes studying in Europe no longer a distant proposition for either the timid student or their potentially pining parents.

Europe’s excellent, low-cost degrees- many taught in English are attracting UK undergraduates. While a UK student may be hard pushed to find more expensive studying options in Europe, you can study for free in Scandinavia, Austria and much of Germany, and the value of that is more than monetary.

There are two types of students: those who want something cheaper, and those with wealthier parents who seek the best experience internationally. A European university can be the answer for both.

Degrees gained at European institutions are comparable with those awarded in Britain in terms of quality, respect and recognition. While certain UK universities charge £9,000 a year, there are places in Europe that are higher up the rankings, and have more global recognition, that charge a fraction of these tuition fees.

A significant and growing number of European universities believe the way to attract more foreign students is to offer degrees taught fully in English.

As domestic fees rise and competition intensifies, UK students should be asking themselves not what they can do in their country, but what European universities could do for them.
